Thousands of people across South Wales lifted a cup of coffee to their lips for charity as part of the world's biggest coffee morning.
The annual event for Macmillan Cancer Support was celebrated by more people than ever, yesterday.
At Bedlinog Primary, Merthyr Tydfil, parents, staff and children aimed to top the £300 they raised last year for the cancer charity.
Coffee morning organiser Hilary Lines, whose children Niamh, seven and Kian, four, attend the school: 'We're up to around £250 and there's more to come in,' said Mrs Lines.
Shoppers in Bridgend had a devilish coffee morning when members of the Cardiff Devils ice hockey team popped into Specsavers on Adare Street.
Net minder Phil Osaer and forward Paul Sample sampled the freshly baked cakes and coffee.
Store director Anne Lowndes said: 'I'd like to thank all the staff for their efforts in helping to get the coffee morning off the ground and the Devils for agreeing to join us.'
At the Park Conservative Club, City Road, Cardiff, around 50 people enjoyed a cup of coffee and a chat with other visitors and managed to raise £200 for the charity.
'We all had a lovely time,' said Margaret Harris, one of the helpers of the event.
And at GE Healthcare, Cardiff, ex-Wales football international David Giles popped in to the staff coffee morning.
